The Lullaby Trust

This post is especially for a beautiful baby girl who sadly passed away due to SIDS. Matilda Mae was the precious miracle baby of Jennie who blogs at Edspire, and her  story has touched the hearts of so many.

To mark the renaming  FSIDS to The Lullaby Trust, Jennie wrote a lullaby for baby Tilda and many fellow bloggers have written lullabies in support. I'm not great at writing but wanted to contribute to this cause.

The moon is glistening in the sky,
a star twinkles and sparkles bright ,
spread your wings sweet little one,
and fly so high.

Know that you are oh so loved,
a little angel up above,
always in my heart you'll be
my dreams are of you.

Twinkle brightly precious star,
spread your wings and sparkle far
angels dance when night time falls
that star is you.

By Natasha, Mummy to the Little People

My darling husband has also written a lullaby.

While you sleep my love,
The world turns on below you,
And you can dream my love,
Of things I'd love to show you.

A morning meadows scent,
The crisp air on the mountain,
The darting butterfly,
The whisper of a fountain.

You only need to dream,
Of a world that's bright with splendor,
And I'll be there with you,
And we can both remember.

Let your dreams be filled.
Of the warmth within our home,
Always dream of me,
And we'll never be alone.

It is wonderful that you two write together and both your poems are very moving. This part particularly caught me :

"And you can dream my love,
Of things I'd love to show you.

A morning meadows scent,
The crisp air on the mountain,
The darting butterfly,
The whisper of a fountain"

I love these kind of details in life. They matter.
