Home made coffee scrub

Over the last year I have been getting into home made gifts and thankfully for the recipients I am getting better at them!

This is another one that kids can do or help with even if they are tiny.

You need:
Oil (baby oil, olive oil, sunflower oil all work perfectly well)
Filter coffee
A glass, jar or other container.

Optional extras:
Vanilla extract
Coffee beans
wooden spatula or lolly stick

Take one cup of filter coffee and mix with 3 tablespoons of oil, I used sunflower oil this time time as there is very little smell to it and I wanted the coffee smell to be strong, stir until all the coffee is oil soaked then add 1/3 cup of sugar and one more tablespoon of oil and mix again.

Once well mixed, spoon into the glass, pressing it down firmly to keep from spilling.

In a clean bowl mix one cup of white sugar with 2 tablespoons of oil. If you have some vanilla extract its nice to add a couple of drops into this white layer to give your 'coffee' a really yummy coffee & creamy smell, do take care not to add too much though as the more you add the darker the sugar will go, I used about a teaspoon here.

Once mixed well layer on top of the coffee scrub, again pressing down firmly to keep the layers from combining.

To finish off I placed 3 coffee beans on the top before covering the glass with a small square of cling film and taking a wooden spatula, for application, to the side of the glass.

Such a quick, inexpensive and simple gift but it looks and smells fantastic and leaved your skin feeling lovely, smooth and soft.
